Public Safety Diving goes beyond recreational diving. You must be comfortable in the water and with your skills. Most of the time we dive in low visibility (or no visibility) areas, hazardous environments, and may be dealing with tough situations. Below is a list of prerequisites needed for most SAR teams.
Please check with your local team to see what they require. Rescue Diver is required. Listed here is a good starting point of the specialties:

-Dry Suit Diver
-Full Face Mask
The PADI PSD course is targeted towards those going into the public safety field. The specialties listed above will help you overall in this course. We slowly build up your skills until we get to a final scenario. Please note, I will only teach this course to those looking to be on a PSD team. If you have any questions please contact me.
